Trent reports that things are going good. He wasn't that excited about the transfer as it is so close to his last area, about 15 minutes away. It's an all biking area which he doesn't like so they will also be doing a lot of walking. In this new area he is assigned to a branch for the first time. His mtc companion Elder Bales is also assigned to the same branch, in another companionship. The branch has about 25-30 members that attend each week. Trent says there are a lot of cool people there. Last Sunday the missionaries were the only white people. This area is in the heart of downtown Jackson. There is even an area called "the red zone" they aren't allowed to go inside. He said, "it's too ghetto to go into and we could get shot. Don't worry I won't go there."
He finally reported on Thanksgiving.
"Thanksgiving was good. We had 3 dinners over that weekend. It was cool. And yes, I did get some pumpkin pie. My comp thought it was weird when i just picked it up and started to eat it."
They have been having a lot of rain storms there with tornado warnings. It's been pretty cold.
Also he noted that he was excited to hear about the Utes and the Sugar Bowl. He said they might have to go out to dinner that night to a restaurant with a TV and at least catch a glimpse during dinner.

Surprised they had Turkey for Thanksgiving. Would have thought they had Churches or Popeye's fried chicken...
